Hallows Eve as a baby! Newly created and sleeping in a some sort cocoon in the center of the statue Pitch and Jack created.


Pitch Black-the Father.
Jack Frost- the Brother.
Man on the Moon- The Mother.

You`re wondering who this girl is and what`s her part of the RotG right?

If you remember the Antarctica scene in the movie, Pitch and Jack have a fight and with Pitchs black sand and Jack's cold ice created a sculpture when they clashed together. Later Pitch tried to tempt Jack to become his friend and join his side and create a world that is all cold and dark. Jack refused and they separated as enemies.

But what they didn’t know that clashing their powers together, they didn’t just create a nice statue, deep inside of this mass of ice and black sand a small spirit was born!


made a excellent story by this sad and cruel combination called “Dark and Cold”, hitting right on the spot what would happen if Jack had decided to pick the dark path.
Pitch is right that cold and dark really suits perfectly together, (who have ever experienced walking outside in a cold November or December night, brrrr.) but their powers are not one dimensional.

My take on PitchxJack are in another perspective; “Dark and Fun”.

Remember; Jack Frost is the spirit of snow and cold but his main center is “Fun”. Combining this kind of power with darkness and fear what would the result be?

Hallows Eve!

Halloween!

I may not be the first person who have created an O.C character representing Halloween but I think I have made a more unique back story of her birth and existence.

I`m not going to explain the whole history of Halloween but in short It comes from Celtic and early Christians influences. What I mean the seeds of the holiday were created during the “Dark Ages” and that was Pitch highest moments in his career.
During an age when you had no electricity, grocery shops or even a night lamp and you lived what the earth offered, every dark winter was a challenge. Offering food and meat to the invisible spirits and gods (The origins of Trick or Treat.) in return for a calm, safe short winter must have been a joy for Pitch because they lived in fear and worries of the darkness. But when the Guardians came with the powers of “Hope” “Wonder”, “Dreams” and “Memories” everything changed and his powers reduced and he became the “Boogey-man”.

made a wonderful comic strip about his view of the guardians. In the comic they offered him a chance to become a guardian but he refused to let himself adapt and become something he`s not. His center is Fear, true pure Fear and that will never change. This will of course cause him a great deal of his power and not to mention the belief in him.

Man on the Moon supports the Guardians and their powers but he would never let Pitch Black disappear (This what I think.). Fear is old as time and there will always be fear in the world in one way or another, but by creating a proper balance between dark and light and perhaps an answer of Pitchs longings for companionship, Man on the Moon created Hallows Eve.

With the power of old (Fear, offering, monsters and witches.) combined with the power of new (Fun, games and excitement.) Hallows Eve was born from Jack and Pitch inner centers.

Hallow Eves represents the “safe” fear. A holiday celebrating every ghost, spirit, monster that ever existed on this Earth, which means giving Pitch some power and acknowledgment without threaten the guardians or the children. Thanks to Jacks power the holiday is a celebration of fun and mischief’s. Games and activities including trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-O`lanterns, lighting bonfires, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, not to mention telling scary stories and watching horror films without your parents permission.


P.S To make her story and the movie more accurate, I permit my imagination to place the RotG timeline and Hallows Eve birth 150-200 years back instead in the 21st century.

Why? Because it was in the middle of 19th century the modern version of Halloween started to grow and during that time a lot of famous ghost stories and poems (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Raven etc.) was created. It was this area telling ghost stories started to become entertaining fairytales rather than serious warnings. Creating stories that was both horrifying and entertaining. Permitting yourself to get frightened and fell pleasure in it. It couldn’t be more better timing!
